Eligibility Criteria for SSC GD Constable 2026
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India. Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan refugees (before Jan 1, 1962), and persons of Indian origin migrated from specified countries for permanent settlement are also eligible.
- Educational Qualification: Passed Matriculation (10th Class) from a recognized board or university on or before January 1, 2026. No minimum percentage required.
- Age Limit: 18 to 23 years as of January 1, 2026.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deducting military service.
- Children and dependents of 1984 riot victims (Unreserved / EWS): 5 years
- Children and dependents of 1984 riot victims (OBC): 8 years
- Children and dependents of 1984 riot victims (SC / ST): 10 years
- Physical Standards: Must meet specified height (e.g., 170 cm for males, 157 cm for females) and chest requirements (for males). Weight based on BMI (18-25).
