The 19th Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF 2026) has reopened its media accreditation portal for a final opportunity to register. Media professionals, including print, electronic, digital, and social media content creators, are invited to apply for delegate registration. This is a crucial opportunity for journalists, filmmakers, and content creators to gain access to one of India's most prestigious documentary, short fiction, and animation film festivals.
The festival is scheduled to take place from June 15–21, 2026, at the NFDC–Films Division premises in Mumbai. Accreditation provides access to various festival events, screenings, and sessions, offering a unique platform for networking and covering the latest in the world of non-feature films.

Eligibility Criteria for MIFF 2026 Media Accreditation
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age as of May 1, 2026.
- Print/Electronic Media: Must be accredited by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) or a State Government, or employed with a recognized Media House/Publication, or be a Freelancer.
- Digital Media (Web Portals): Must be active and consistently engaged in information dissemination in the relevant field for at least two years, demonstrate substantial engagement and sustained presence, and have a record of organic traffic.
- Digital/Social Media Platforms: Applicants must demonstrate a consistent focus on film, art, lifestyle, or culture-related content over the past two years. Minimum follower/subscriber base requirements are:
- Hindi-language platforms: 20,000 subscribers/followers.
- English-language platforms: 20,000 subscribers/followers.
- Other regional languages: 10,000 subscribers/followers.
- Less-spoken languages or dialects: Applicants with a smaller following (below 5,000) may be considered at the discretion of the Competent Authority.
- Applicants are responsible for providing accurate engagement metrics, which PIB will verify. Significant discrepancies may lead to application rejection.

Ensure you have the following documents ready for upload:
- Recent Passport Size Photo (with specified size specifications).
- Identity Proof (Aadhaar/License/Passport/Voter ID).
- Professional Identity Proof:
- For Print/Electronic media: PIB/State Government Accreditation Card, Organizational ID/Editor's Nomination Letter, or a Self-Declaration for freelance media persons.
- For Freelancers: Self-declaration for freelance media professionals.
- Work Samples: At least 5 articles/links/photographs of content related to documentaries/films/art/lifestyle/culture/animation written/captured by the applicant during the years 2023, 2024, and 2025.
- Supporting Documents: All relevant documents as specified in Annexure B and C of the Media Accreditation Policy.

- New users are required to create an account. Existing users may sign in directly using their credentials from the 56th International Film Festival of India.

- Ensure an active mobile number and email ID are provided for communication regarding accreditation status and updates.

एमआईएफएफ 2026 मीडिया प्रत्यायन के लिए पात्रता मानदंड
आवेदकों को निम्नलिखित मानदंडों को पूरा करना होगा:
- आयु: 1 मई, 2026 तक कम से कम 18 वर्ष की आयु होनी चाहिए।
- प्रिंट/इलेक्ट्रॉनिक मीडिया: प्रेस सूचना ब्यूरो (पीआईबी) या राज्य सरकार द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त होना चाहिए, या किसी मान्यता प्राप्त मीडिया हाउस/प्रकाशन के साथ कार्यरत होना चाहिए, या एक फ्रीलांसर होना चाहिए।
- डिजिटल मीडिया (वेब पोर्टल): संबंधित क्षेत्र में कम से कम दो वर्षों से सक्रिय और लगातार सूचना प्रसार में संलग्न होना चाहिए, पर्याप्त जुड़ाव और निरंतर उपस्थिति प्रदर्शित करना चाहिए, और जैविक यातायात का रिकॉर्ड होना चाहिए।
- डिजिटल/सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म: आवेदकों को पिछले दो वर्षों से फिल्म, कला, जीवन शैली या संस्कृति से संबंधित सामग्री पर लगातार ध्यान केंद्रित करना चाहिए। न्यूनतम अनुयायी/ग्राहक आधार आवश्यकताएँ हैं:
- हिंदी-भाषा प्लेटफॉर्म: 20,000 ग्राहक/अनुयायी।
- अंग्रेजी-भाषा प्लेटफॉर्म: 20,000 ग्राहक/अनुयायी।
- अन्य क्षेत्रीय भाषाएँ: 10,000 ग्राहक/अनुयायी।

- कार्य के नमूने: आवेदक द्वारा वर्ष 2023, 2024 और 2025 के दौरान लिखे/कैप्चर किए गए वृत्तचित्रों/फिल्मों/कला/जीवन शैली/संस्कृति/एनीमेशन से संबंधित सामग्री के कम से कम 5 लेख/लिंक/तस्वीरें।
