PM Kisan 23rd Installment 2026: All You Need to Know
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme is a Central Sector Scheme that provides income support to all landholding farmer families across the country to supplement their financial needs for procuring various inputs related to agriculture and allied activities as well as domestic needs. Under the Scheme, the financial benefit of INR 6,000 per year is provided to the eligible beneficiary farmer families in three equal installments of INR 2,000 each every four months.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the PM-KISAN scheme, beneficiaries must meet the following conditions:
- Landholding farmer families, consisting of a husband, wife, and minor children, who collectively own cultivable land as per state/UT land records.
- The land must be registered in the farmer's name in the state or revenue records before February 1, 2019.
- The farmer must be an Indian citizen.
- An Aadhaar card is mandatory for all family members.
- The bank account must be active and linked with Aadhaar.
- e-KYC must be completed.
- In 14 states, a Farmer ID (Kisan Pehchaan Patra) is mandatory for new registrations.
Exclusions: The following categories are excluded from the scheme:
- Institutional landholders.
- Present and past holders of constitutional posts.
- Present and former Ministers, State Ministers, Chairpersons of District Panchayats, Mayors of Municipal Corporations, Members of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha or State Legislative Assemblies or State Legislative Councils.
- Every retired and serving employee and officer of Central or State Government Ministries, Offices or Departments and its field units, Central/State PSEs and attached offices, Autonomous institutions under government, and Local bodies (excluding Class IV/Multi Tasking Staff/Group D employees).
- Every superannuated or retired pensioner with a monthly pension of INR 10,000 and above (excluding Class IV/Multi Tasking Staff/Group D employees).
- Every person who paid Income Tax in the last assessment year.
- Professionals registered with professional bodies and carrying out professions such as Engineers, Doctors, Chartered Accountants, Lawyers, and Architects.
How to Apply and Check Status
Farmers can apply for the PM-KISAN scheme through the official portal, Common Service Centres (CSCs), or through revenue officials/designated authorities.
Online Registration via PM-KISAN Portal:
- Visit the official portal: pmkisan.gov.in.
- Scroll down to the 'Farmers Corner' section on the homepage.
- Click on 'New Farmer Registration'.
- Select 'Rural Farmer Registration' or 'Urban Farmer Registration' based on the location of your farmland.
- Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number, and select your state.
- Fill in the captcha and click 'Search'.
- If you are a new farmer, the portal will ask 'Do you want to register yourself?'. Select 'Yes'.
- Fill the registration form with your personal details, bank account number, IFSC code, and land details (Khasra/Khatauni).
- Upload the required documents.
- Click 'Submit' to complete the form.
Registration via Mobile App:
- Download the 'PMKISAN GoI' app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the app, choose the language, and click on 'New Farmer Registration'.
- Enter your Aadhaar card number, captcha, and click 'Continue'.
- Fill out the registration form with details like name, bank details, address, IFSC Code, land details, etc., and click 'Submit'.
Registration via CSCs:
- Visit your nearest CSC or Jan Seva Kendra.
- Carry your Aadhaar card, bank passbook, and land records.
- The operator will fill the online form on your behalf.
- Verify the details before submission.
- Collect the acknowledgement slip with your registration number.
Status-Check Process:
- Visit pmkisan.gov.in.
- Click on 'Know Your Status' or 'Status of Self Registered Farmer / CSC Farmer' under Farmers Corner.
- Enter your registration number, Aadhaar number, or mobile number.
- Verify using OTP (if required) and view the installment details and payment date on the screen.
e-KYC Process:
e-KYC is mandatory for all beneficiaries to receive installment payments. Farmers can complete Aadhaar-based OTP authentication on the official portal or visit a CSC center for biometric authentication.
To complete e-KYC online:
- Visit the pmkisan.gov.in website and select the 'e-KYC' option.

पात्रता मापदंड
पीएम-किसान योजना के लिए पात्र होने के लिए, लाभार्थियों को निम्नलिखित शर्तों को पूरा करना होगा:
- भूमिधारक किसान परिवार, जिसमें पति, पत्नी और नाबालिग बच्चे शामिल हैं, जो राज्य/केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के भूमि रिकॉर्ड के अनुसार सामूहिक रूप से खेती योग्य भूमि के मालिक हैं।
