The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme is set to release its 23rd installment on June 20, 2026. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disburse the funds from Tarakeswar, Hooghly, West Bengal. This installment covers the April to July 2026 cycle. Eligibility Criteria for PM Kisan Scheme
The PM-Kisan scheme provides income support to all landholding farmer families in the country. A farmer family is defined as a unit comprising a husband, wife, and minor children who own cultivable land as per the land records of the concerned State/UT.
To be eligible, farmers must meet the following conditions:
- Be an Indian citizen engaged in agricultural activities.
- Own cultivable land as per official land records.
- The land must be registered in the farmer's name in the state or revenue records, ideally before February 1, 2019.
- Have an Aadhaar card, which is mandatory for all family members.
- Have an active bank account linked with Aadhaar.
- Complete eKYC.
- In 14 states, a unique Farmer ID (Kisan Pehchaan Patra) is mandatory for new registrations.
The following categories of beneficiaries are excluded from the scheme:
- Institutional landholders.
- Present and past holders of constitutional posts.
- Present and former Ministers, State Ministers, Chairpersons of District Panchayats, Mayors of Municipal Corporations, Members of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha or State Legislative Assemblies or State Legislative Councils.
- Every retired and serving employee and officer of Central or State Government Ministries, Offices or Departments and its field units, Central/State PSEs and attached offices, Autonomous institutions under government, and Local bodies (excluding Class IV/Multi Tasking Staff/Group D employees).
- Every superannuated or retired pensioner with a monthly pension of ₹10,000 and above (excluding Class IV/Multi Tasking Staff/Group D employees).
- Every person who paid Income Tax in the last assessment year.
- Professionals registered with professional bodies and carrying out professions such as Engineers, Doctors, Chartered Accountants, Lawyers, and Architects.
- Farmers who do not own land.
- Farmers who acquired land ownership after February 1, 2019, may be excluded.
- Cases where more than one family member is receiving benefits (e.g., both husband and wife, an adult member and minor, etc.) are temporarily withheld until physical verification is completed.
How to Apply for PM Kisan Scheme (New Registration)
Online Application Process:
- Visit the official PM-Kisan portal: pmkisan.gov.in.
- Scroll down to the 'Farmers Corner' section and click on 'New Farmer Registration'.
- Select 'Rural Farmer Registration' or 'Urban Farmer Registration' based on the farmland's location.
- Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number, and select your state.
- Fill in the captcha and click 'Search'.
- If not already registered, the portal will ask "Do you want to register yourself?". Click "Yes".
- Fill out the PM Kisan Form with personal details, bank account number, IFSC code, and land details (Khasra/Khatauni).
- Upload the required documents.
- Complete OTP verification (an OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number).
- Click 'Submit' to complete the registration and note the reference number.
Offline Application Process:
- Visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or Jan Seva Kendra, or your village Lekhpal, Patwari, or Krishi Sahayak.
- Carry your Aadhaar card, bank passbook, and land records.
- The operator or official will fill the PM Kisan form on your behalf and upload your details to the PM Kisan portal.
- Verify the details before submission.
- Collect a written acknowledgment of submission.
Mobile App Application Process:
- Download the "PMKISAN GoI" mobile app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the app, choose your language, and click on 'New Farmer Registration'.
- Enter your Aadhaar card number, captcha, and click 'Continue'.
- Fill out the registration form with details like name, bank details, address, IFSC Code, land details, etc.
- Use Face Authentication for instant identity verification (if available).
- Click 'Submit' to complete the registration.

पीएम किसान योजना के लिए पात्रता मानदंड
पीएम-किसान योजना देश के सभी भूमिधारक किसान परिवारों को आय सहायता प्रदान करती है। एक किसान परिवार को एक इकाई के रूप में परिभाषित किया गया है जिसमें पति, पत्नी और नाबालिग बच्चे शामिल हैं, जिनके पास संबंधित राज्य/केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के भूमि रिकॉर्ड के अनुसार खेती योग्य भूमि है।

- प्रत्येक सेवानिवृत्त या सेवानिवृत्त पेंशनभोगी जिनकी मासिक पेंशन ₹10,000 और उससे अधिक है (कक्षा IV/मल्टी टास्किंग स्टाफ/समूह डी कर्मचारियों को छोड़कर)।
- प्रत्येक व्यक्ति जिसने पिछले मूल्यांकन वर्ष में आयकर का भुगतान किया था।
- पेशेवर निकायों के साथ पंजीकृत पेशेवर और इंजीनियर, डॉक्टर, चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट, वकील और वास्तुकार जैसे पेशे करने वाले।
- जिन किसानों के पास अपनी भूमि नहीं है।
- जिन किसानों ने 1 फरवरी, 2019 के बाद भूमि स्वामित्व प्राप्त किया है, उन्हें बाहर रखा जा सकता है।
- ऐसे मामले जहां एक से अधिक परिवार के सदस्य लाभ प्राप्त कर रहे हैं (उदाहरण के लिए, पति और पत्नी दोनों, एक वयस्क सदस्य और नाबालिग, आदि) को भौतिक सत्यापन पूरा होने तक अस्थायी रूप से रोक दिया जाता है।
पीएम किसान योजना के लिए आवेदन कैसे करें (नया पंजीकरण)
ऑनलाइन आवेदन प्रक्रिया:
- आधिकारिक पीएम-किसान पोर्टल पर जाएं: pmkisan.gov.in।
- 'किसान कॉर्नर' अनुभाग पर स्क्रॉल करें और 'नया किसान पंजीकरण' पर क्लिक करें।
