PM Kisan 23rd Installment 2026: Release Date Announced!
Good news for all PM-Kisan beneficiaries! The 23rd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme is set to be released on June 20, 2026. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disburse the funds from Tarakeswar, Hooghly, West Bengal. This installment covers the April-July 2026 period, providing much-needed financial support to eligible farmer families across India.
Under the PM-Kisan scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 per year, paid in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. The funds are directly transferred to beneficiaries' Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The 22nd installment was released on March 13, 2026.

Who is Eligible for PM Kisan Scheme?
To receive benefits under the PM-Kisan scheme, beneficiaries must meet the following criteria:
- The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- A farmer family is defined as a husband, wife, and minor children who collectively own cultivable land as per state land records.
- The land must be registered in the farmer's name in the state or revenue records, ideally before February 1, 2019.
- Aadhaar card is mandatory for all members of the farmer family.
- The bank account must be active and linked with Aadhaar.
- eKYC must be completed for all registered farmers.
- In 14 states, a Farmer ID (Kisan Pehchaan Patra) is mandatory for new registrations.
Exclusion Categories (Who are NOT Eligible):
- Institutional landholders.
- Present and past holders of constitutional posts.
- Present and former Ministers, State Ministers, Chairpersons of District Panchayats, Mayors of Municipal Corporations, Members of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha or State Legislative Assemblies or State Legislative Councils.
- All serving or retired officers and employees of Central or State Government Ministries, Offices, Departments and their field units, Central/State Public Sector Undertakings and attached offices, Autonomous institutions under government, and Local bodies (excluding Class IV/Multi Tasking Staff/Group D employees).
- All superannuated or retired pensioners with a monthly pension of ₹10,000 or more (excluding Class IV/Multi Tasking Staff/Group D employees).
- Every person who paid Income Tax in the last assessment year.
- Professionals registered with professional bodies and carrying out professions such as Engineers, Doctors, Chartered Accountants, Lawyers, and Architects.
- Farmers who acquired land ownership after February 1, 2019, may have their benefits temporarily withheld until physical verification is completed.
- Cases where more than one family member is receiving benefits (e.g., both husband and wife, an adult member and minor, etc.) will have benefits temporarily withheld until physical verification is completed.
- Agricultural land being used for non-agricultural purposes will not be covered.
