PM-KISAN 23rd Installment Released: All Farmers Get ₹2,000!
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme's 23rd installment has been released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 20, 2026. This significant disbursement, totaling over ₹18,880 crore, has directly benefited more than 9.44 crore farmer families across the nation, including over 2.18 crore women farmers. Scheme Benefits and Eligibility
Under the PM-KISAN scheme, eligible farmer families receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year. This amount is disbursed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each, directly transferred to the beneficiaries' Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Eligibility Criteria:
- All landholding farmer families in the country are eligible.
- A farmer family includes husband, wife, and minor children who collectively own cultivable land.
- Land must be registered in the farmer's name in state/revenue records.
- Indian citizenship is mandatory.
- Aadhaar card is mandatory for all family members.
- Bank account must be active and linked with Aadhaar.
- e-KYC must be completed.
- In 14 states, a Farmer ID (Kisan Pehchaan Patra) is mandatory for new registrations.
Exclusion Categories (Who Cannot Apply):
- Institutional landholders.
- Present and past holders of constitutional posts.
- Present and former Ministers, State Ministers, Chairpersons of District Panchayats, Mayors of Municipal Corporations, Members of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha or State Legislative Assemblies or State Legislative Councils.
- Every retired and serving employee and officer of Central or State Government Ministries, Offices or Departments and its field units, Central/State Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) and attached offices, Autonomous institutions under government, and Local bodies (excluding Class IV/Multi Tasking Staff/Group D employees).
- Every superannuated or retired pensioner with a monthly pension of ₹10,000 and above (excluding Class IV/Multi Tasking Staff/Group D employees).
- Every person who paid Income Tax in the last assessment year.
- Professionals registered with Professional bodies and carrying out professions such as Engineers, Doctors, Chartered Accountants, Lawyers, and Architects.
- Farmers who acquired land ownership after February 1, 2019.
- Cases where more than one family member is receiving benefits (e.g., both husband and wife, an adult member and minor, etc.).
How to Apply for PM-KISAN Scheme
Farmers can apply for the PM-KISAN scheme through the official PM-KISAN portal, Common Service Centres (CSCs), or through revenue officials/designated authorities.
Online Registration via PM-KISAN Portal:
- Visit the official PM-KISAN website: pmkisan.gov.in.
- Go to the 'Farmers Corner' section and click on 'New Farmer Registration'.
- Select 'Rural Farmer Registration' or 'Urban Farmer Registration' based on the farmland location.
- Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number, and select your state.
- Fill in the captcha and click 'Search'.
- If you are a new farmer, the portal will ask 'Do you want to register yourself?'.
- Fill out the registration form with personal details, bank account number, IFSC code, and land details (Khasra/Khatauni).
- Upload the required documents.
- Complete e-KYC using the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Click 'Submit' to complete the form. The application will be forwarded to the State Nodal Officer for verification.
Registration via PMKISAN Mobile App:
- Download the 'PMKISAN GoI' mobile app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the app, choose the language, and click on 'New Farmer Registration'.
- Enter your Aadhaar card number, captcha, and click 'Continue'.
- Fill out the registration form with details like name, bank details, address, IFSC Code, and land details.
- Click 'Submit' to complete the registration.
Registration via CSC or Jan Seva Kendra:
- Visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or Jan Seva Kendra.
- Carry your Aadhaar card, bank passbook, and land records.
- The operator will fill the PM Kisan form on your behalf.
- Verify the details before submission.
How to Check PM-KISAN Status
To Check Application Status:
- Go to the 'Status of Self Registered/CSC Farmers' page of the official portal.
- Enter your Aadhaar number or PM Kisan registration number.
- Fill in the captcha and click 'Search'. The status of your registration application will be displayed.
To Check Beneficiary Status/Installment Details:
- Visit the 'Know Your Status' page of the official portal.
- Enter your registration number.
- Enter the captcha code and click 'Get OTP'.
- An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
- Enter the OTP and click 'Get Data'. All transaction information, including installment details, payment date, and credited bank account, will be shown.

योजना के लाभ और पात्रता
पीएम-किसान योजना के तहत, पात्र किसान परिवारों को प्रति वर्ष ₹6,000 की वित्तीय सहायता मिलती है। यह राशि ₹2,000 की तीन समान किस्तों में सीधे लाभार्थियों के आधार-लिंक्ड बैंक खातों में प्रत्यक्ष लाभ हस्तांतरण (DBT) के माध्यम से भेजी जाती है।
पात्रता मानदंड:
- देश के सभी भूमिधारक किसान परिवार पात्र हैं।
- एक किसान परिवार में पति, पत्नी और नाबालिग बच्चे शामिल होते हैं जो सामूहिक रूप से खेती योग्य भूमि के मालिक हों।
- भूमि राज्य/राजस्व रिकॉर्ड में किसान के नाम पर पंजीकृत होनी चाहिए।
- भारतीय नागरिकता अनिवार्य है।
- सभी परिवार के सदस्यों के लिए आधार कार्ड अनिवार्य है।
- बैंक खाता सक्रिय और आधार से लिंक होना चाहिए।
- ई-केवाईसी (e-KYC) पूरा होना चाहिए।
- 14 राज्यों में, नए पंजीकरण के लिए किसान आईडी (किसान पहचान पत्र) अनिवार्य है।
अपवर्जन श्रेणियाँ (कौन आवेदन नहीं कर सकता):
- संस्थागत भूमिधारक।
- वर्तमान और पूर्व संवैधानिक पद धारक।
- वर्तमान और पूर्व मंत्री, राज्य मंत्री, जिला पंचायतों के अध्यक्ष, नगर निगमों के महापौर, लोकसभा या राज्यसभा या राज्य विधानसभाओं या राज्य विधान परिषदों के सदस्य।

- जिन किसानों ने 1 फरवरी, 2019 के बाद भूमि स्वामित्व प्राप्त किया हो।
- ऐसे मामले जहां एक से अधिक परिवार के सदस्य लाभ प्राप्त कर रहे हों (जैसे पति और पत्नी दोनों, एक वयस्क सदस्य और नाबालिग, आदि)।
पीएम-किसान योजना के लिए आवेदन कैसे करें
किसान पीएम-किसान योजना के लिए आधिकारिक पीएम-किसान पोर्टल, कॉमन सर्विस सेंटर (CSC) या राजस्व अधिकारियों/नामित अधिकारियों के माध्यम से आवेदन कर सकते हैं।
पीएम-किसान पोर्टल के माध्यम से ऑनलाइन पंजीकरण:
