The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme is set to release its 23rd installment on June 20, 2026. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disburse over ₹18,880 crore directly into the bank accounts of more than 9.44 crore farmers nationwide, including over 2.18 crore women farmers. PM Kisan Scheme Benefits
Under the PM-KISAN scheme, eligible farmer families receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year. This amount is transferred in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each directly to the beneficiaries' Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The installment cycles are April to July, August to November, and December to March.
Eligibility Criteria for PM Kisan Yojana
To be eligible for the PM-KISAN scheme, farmers must meet the following conditions:
- Be an Indian citizen.
- Be a landholding farmer family (husband, wife, and minor children) collectively owning cultivable land as per state land records.
- The land must be registered in the farmer's name in the state or revenue records, ideally before February 1, 2019.
- Have an Aadhaar card, which is mandatory for all family members.
- Have an active bank account linked with Aadhaar.

Exclusion Categories (Who is NOT Eligible)
The following categories of individuals are not eligible for the PM-KISAN scheme:
- Institutional landholders.
- Present and past holders of constitutional posts.
- Present and former Ministers, State Ministers, Chairpersons of District Panchayats, Mayors of Municipal Corporations, Members of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha or State Legislative Assemblies or State Legislative Councils.
- All serving and retired officers and employees of Central or State Government Ministries, Offices, Departments, and their field units, Central/State Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs), attached offices, autonomous institutions under government, and local bodies (excluding Class IV/Multi Tasking Staff/Group D employees).
- All superannuated or retired pensioners with a monthly pension of ₹10,000 or more (excluding Class IV/Multi Tasking Staff/Group D employees).
- Anyone who paid Income Tax in the last assessment year.
- Professionals registered with professional bodies and carrying out professions such as Engineers, Doctors, Chartered Accountants, Lawyers, and Architects.
- Farmers who acquired land ownership after February 1, 2019, may have their benefits temporarily withheld until physical verification is completed.
- Cases where more than one family member is receiving benefits (e.g., both husband and wife, an adult member and minor) will have benefits temporarily withheld until physical verification is completed.
How to Apply for PM Kisan (New Farmer Registration)
Farmers can apply through the PM-KISAN official portal, Common Service Centres (CSCs), or revenue officials/designated authorities.
Online Registration via PM-KISAN Portal:
- Visit the official PM-KISAN portal: pmkisan.gov.in.
- Scroll down to the 'Farmers Corner' section and click on 'New Farmer Registration'.
- Select 'Rural Farmer Registration' or 'Urban Farmer Registration' based on the farmland's location.
- Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number, and select your state.
- Enter the captcha code and click 'Search'.
- If not already registered, the portal will ask "Do you want to register yourself?". Click "Yes" or proceed to fill the form.
- Fill out the PM-KISAN form with personal details, bank account number, IFSC code, and land details (Khasra/Khatauni).
- Upload the required documents.
- Complete e-KYC using the OTP sent to the Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Click 'Submit' to complete the form. The application will be forwarded to the State Nodal Officer for verification.
Registration via PM-KISAN Mobile App:
- Download the "PMKISAN GoI" app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the app, choose your language, and click on 'New Farmer Registration'.
- Enter your Aadhaar card number, captcha, and click 'Continue'.
- Fill out the registration form with details like name, bank details, address, IFSC Code, and land details.
- Use Face Authentication for instant identity verification (if available).
- Click 'Submit' to complete the registration.
Registration via Common Service Centres (CSCs) or Revenue Officials:
- Visit your nearest CSC, Jan Seva Kendra, village Lekhpal, Patwari, or Krishi Sahayak.
- Carry your Aadhaar card, bank passbook, and land records.
- The operator or official will fill the PM-KISAN form on your behalf and upload your details to the portal.

पीएम किसान योजना के लाभ

निम्नलिखित श्रेणियों के व्यक्ति पीएम-किसान योजना के लिए पात्र नहीं हैं:
- संस्थागत भूमिधारक।
- वर्तमान और पूर्व संवैधानिक पदों के धारक।
- वर्तमान और पूर्व मंत्री, राज्य मंत्री, जिला पंचायतों के अध्यक्ष, नगर निगमों के महापौर, लोकसभा या राज्यसभा या राज्य विधानसभाओं या राज्य विधान परिषदों के सदस्य।
- केंद्र या राज्य सरकार के मंत्रालयों, कार्यालयों, विभागों और उनकी क्षेत्रीय इकाइयों, केंद्रीय/राज्य सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के उद्यमों (PSEs), संलग्न कार्यालयों, सरकार के अधीन स्वायत्त संस्थानों और स्थानीय निकायों के सभी सेवारत और सेवानिवृत्त अधिकारी और कर्मचारी (कक्षा IV/मल्टी टास्किंग स्टाफ/समूह डी कर्मचारियों को छोड़कर)।
- ₹10,000 या अधिक की मासिक पेंशन वाले सभी सेवानिवृत्त या सेवानिवृत्त पेंशनभोगी (कक्षा IV/मल्टी टास्किंग स्टाफ/समूह डी कर्मचारियों को छोड़कर)।
- जिसने पिछले मूल्यांकन वर्ष में आयकर का भुगतान किया हो।
- पेशेवर निकायों के साथ पंजीकृत पेशेवर और इंजीनियर, डॉक्टर, चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट, वकील और आर्किटेक्ट जैसे पेशे करने वाले।

- जिन मामलों में एक से अधिक परिवार के सदस्य लाभ प्राप्त कर रहे हैं (उदाहरण के लिए, पति और पत्नी दोनों, एक वयस्क सदस्य और नाबालिग) उनके लाभों को भौतिक सत्यापन पूरा होने तक अस्थायी रूप से रोक दिया जाएगा।
