PM-KISAN Scheme Benefits
Under the PM-KISAN scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of INR 6,000 per year. This amount is disbursed in three equal installments of INR 2,000 each, every four months. The funds are directly transferred into the beneficiaries' Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Eligibility Criteria for PM-KISAN Scheme
The PM-KISAN scheme provides income support to all landholding farmer families in the country. A farmer family is defined as a husband, wife, and minor children who collectively own cultivable land as per state land records. The land must be registered in the farmer's name in state or revenue records. Applicants must be Indian citizens.
Exclusions:
- Institutional landholders.
- Farmer families where one or more members hold or have held constitutional posts.
- Present and former Ministers, State Ministers, Chairpersons of District Panchayats, Mayors of Municipal Corporations, Members of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha, or State Legislative Assemblies or State Legislative Councils.
- All serving or retired officers and employees of Central or State Government Ministries, Offices, Departments, and their field units, Central/State Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs), and attached offices/autonomous institutions under government, as well as local bodies (excluding Class IV/Multi Tasking Staff/Group D employees).
- All superannuated or retired pensioners with a monthly pension of INR 10,000 or more (excluding Class IV/Multi Tasking Staff/Group D employees).
- Every person who paid Income Tax in the last assessment year.
- Professionals registered with professional bodies and carrying out professions such as Engineers, Doctors, Chartered Accountants, Lawyers, and Architects.
- Farmers who acquired land ownership after February 1, 2019, may also be excluded.
- Cases where more than one family member is receiving benefits (e.g., both husband and wife, an adult member and minor) are temporarily withheld until physical verification is completed.
How to Apply for PM-KISAN (New Farmer Registration)
- Visit the official PM-KISAN portal (pmkisan.gov.in).
- Navigate to the 'Farmers Corner' section and click on 'New Farmer Registration'.
- Select either 'Rural Farmer Registration' or 'Urban Farmer Registration'.
- Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number, mobile number, and select your state.
- Enter the captcha code and click 'Search' or 'Continue'.
- Your Aadhaar will be authenticated with UIDAI.
- An OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number for verification. Enter the OTP.
- Fill out the registration form with personal details (name, DOB, etc.), bank account information (IFSC, Account Number), and landholding information.
- Upload necessary documents, such as land papers, and a photo/signature if requested.
- Complete your e-KYC using the OTP sent to the registered mobile number related to Aadhaar.
- Submit the form. It will be forwarded to the State Nodal Officer for verification.
- Alternatively, farmers can register through Common Service Centres (CSCs) or with the help of revenue officials/designated authorities.
How to Check PM-KISAN Beneficiary Status
e-KYC is mandatory for all beneficiaries to receive installment payments. Ensure your e-KYC is complete.
- Visit the official PM-KISAN portal (pmkisan.gov.in).
- Go to the 'Farmers Corner' section and click on 'Know Your Status' or 'Beneficiary Status'.
- You will be prompted to enter either your registration number, Aadhaar number, or mobile number.
- Enter the captcha code and click 'Get OTP' or 'Search'.
- An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click 'Get Data' or 'Submit'.
- Your transaction information, including the last installment details, date of transfer, and credited bank account, will be displayed.
Common issues that can block payments: Incomplete e-KYC, Aadhaar-bank linkage issues, data inconsistency (name mismatch between Aadhaar and bank passbook), incorrect bank details, or pending land record verification.

पीएम-किसान योजना के लाभ

- किसान परिवार जिनके एक या अधिक सदस्य संवैधानिक पदों पर हैं या रह चुके हैं।
- वर्तमान और पूर्व मंत्री, राज्य मंत्री, जिला पंचायतों के अध्यक्ष, नगर निगमों के महापौर, लोकसभा या राज्यसभा के सदस्य, या राज्य विधान सभाओं या राज्य विधान परिषदों के सदस्य।
- केंद्र या राज्य सरकार के मंत्रालयों, कार्यालयों, विभागों और उनकी क्षेत्रीय इकाइयों, केंद्रीय/राज्य सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के उद्यमों (पीएसई), और सरकार के तहत संलग्न कार्यालयों/स्वायत्त संस्थानों के सभी सेवारत या सेवानिवृत्त अधिकारी और कर्मचारी, साथ ही स्थानीय निकाय (कक्षा IV/मल्टी टास्किंग स्टाफ/समूह डी कर्मचारियों को छोड़कर)।
- 10,000 रुपये या उससे अधिक की मासिक पेंशन वाले सभी सेवानिवृत्त या सेवानिवृत्त पेंशनभोगी (कक्षा IV/मल्टी टास्किंग स्टाफ/समूह डी कर्मचारियों को छोड़कर)।
- प्रत्येक व्यक्ति जिसने पिछले मूल्यांकन वर्ष में आयकर का भुगतान किया था।
- पेशेवर निकायों के साथ पंजीकृत और इंजीनियर, डॉक्टर, चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट, वकील और वास्तुकार जैसे पेशे का अभ्यास करने वाले पेशेवर।
